Lara’s Path to Success:

Embracing Change and Customer Connection

Lara’s story at AB Tasty exemplifies how personal growth and evolving roles are key to both individual and company success. Joining the company on July 5, 2022, as Global Sales Enablement Director, Lara has since transitioned into a Key Account Management (KAM) role.

Lara’s background is rich in experience and growth. Before joining AB Tasty, she spent 5 years working at a SaaS startup that grew from 10 to 300 employees and secured Series C funding. Starting as a part-time contractor in talent acquisition, she quickly transitioned into sales, contributing significantly to her former company’s financial success. It was there that Lara realized her passion for training and development, eventually shifting into a Sales Enablement role.

It was also during this time that a piece of life-changing feedback helped her evolve. A manager’s transparent advice on improving her communication sparked Lara’s drive for self-improvement. It was the best feedback she ever received, and it’s something she appreciates deeply—especially now at AB Tasty, where transparency and feedback are core to how we empower our employees.

After two successful years in Sales Enablement at AB Tasty, Lara made the decision to switch into a Key Account Management role. Why the change? While she loved training and helping others grow, Lara missed the direct connection with customers and the excitement of having concrete goals and quotas. “When I heard the sales teams talking about the value our product brings to clients, I realized I missed being on the customer side,” she says.

This desire for a direct impact and clear goals is what brought her back to customer-facing work. Now, as a KAM, Lara thrives on building strong relationships with her clients and driving their success with AB Tasty’s products. Her experience training KAMs has given her a unique perspective, allowing her to step into her new role with empathy and understanding.

Happiness at work comes from your personal values being met—autonomy, responsibility, learning, and working with good people. AB Tasty has given me all of that.

Lara also promotes shadowing as a key learning tool: “You can never truly understand a role until you’re fully in it,” she says. Her open-mindedness and willingness to experience different roles are qualities she values at AB Tasty, where adaptability and learning are celebrated.

Lara’s decision to stay at AB Tasty, even when transitioning roles, came down to two things: the product, and the people.
“When you look at G2 and see how much people love the product, it makes me proud,” she explains. Additionally, the culture and values at AB Tasty resonate deeply with her.

Working remotely from the U.S., Lara has also noticed the unique benefits of being part of a French-based company. The cultural differences, particularly around work-life balance, have helped her broaden her perspective. “There’s a different approach to taking time off, and it’s taught me that it’s okay to take breaks and recharge,” she shares.

Today, Lara is focused on expanding her customer portfolio, building strong relationships, and collaborating effectively with her peers. She is committed to making her customers happy and ensuring they see the value of AB Tasty’s solutions. Her journey—from Sales Enablement to Key Account Management—highlights the importance of embracing change, staying open to feedback, and finding a workplace that aligns with your personal values.

Lara’s story is a testament to the culture at AB Tasty: one of growth, flexibility, and a commitment to empowering its people to succeed.
