Fostering Community and Creativity:
Alison’s Impact at AB Tasty
At AB Tasty, human connection is key to unlocking creativity and solving complex challenges. Alison, our brilliant Workplace Experience Manager, evolved recently from Office Manager to this new role that embodies the philosophy of her work. Since joining AB Tasty in January 2023, she has been creating meaningful moments and fostering a sense of community among our teams – all while adapting to the evolving needs of a post-COVID workplace.
Coming from a background in hospitality, Alison has always been passionate about creating lasting memories. This passion is evident in the way she organizes breakfasts for the AB Tasty teams, bringing everyone together in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
After studying at a hotel management school, her love for curating people-first experiences became a defining trait in her work.
Interestingly, Alison had applied to AB Tasty back in 2018 but wasn’t selected at the time. Little did she know that the timing simply wasn’t right back then. Fast forward to January 2023, and she finally joined our team part-time, working mornings in a smaller post-COVID office. With the shift towards remote work, AB Tasty was adjusting, but soon, the call for team cohesion and in-person dynamics grew stronger.
At AB Tasty, there’s a strong culture that I’m proud to be a part of. It’s a joy to support change and welcome new recruits, whether they’ve joined through hiring or company acquisitions. I love creating memorable experiences that people will carry with them. AB Tasty is truly an inspiring place, where my creativity is constantly energized.
Alison, Workplace Experience Manager
As some employees expressed a desire for more face-to-face interactions, Alison’s role became increasingly important. In a time when getting people back to the office is challenging, her work as Office Manager took on a whole new dimension. Her success in rekindling team spirit and organizing key events—such as an offsite in the countryside and a circus-themed Christmas party—led to the decision to bring her on full-time in August 2024.
Alison also played a crucial role in reintroducing and refreshing workplace rituals. From breakfasts and tea time to monthly afterworks, she infused new life into the office routine. Additionally, she introduced new traditions, such as fitness sessions and brunches, keeping things fresh and engaging while ensuring employees remained enthusiastic about office life.
What drives Alison is her desire to create meaningful connections between people. Colleagues frequently turn to her for advice or to lend an ear, whether they need help finding a place to live or a restaurant recommendation. Alison goes above and beyond to help, always striving to bring people together. Her efforts reflect AB Tasty’s commitment to its people, as she consistently creates opportunities for employees to connect, communicate, and collaborate in a positive atmosphere that fosters creativity.
Life at AB Tasty
Alison’s dedication extends beyond event planning and team bonding. She has been actively involved in AB Tasty’s CSR efforts, in particular the company’s carbon footprint assessment, demonstrating her shared commitment to sustainability with AB Tasty.
With our 13 offices worldwide, Alison is also beginning to explore how to bring her expertise to other locations, adapting to different local cultures and creating similar dynamics to those she’s established at headquarters.
Alison deeply understands that in today’s world, human interactions provide a level of inspiration that machines can never replicate. She thrives on meeting new people—whether colleagues or service providers—and finding fresh perspectives and insights that fuel her creativity and connection to others. Working full-time at AB Tasty has allowed her to channel this creativity in an environment that balances the stability of a successful company with the exciting, dynamic mindset of a startup.
Even though she has an office-based role, Alison enjoys the flexibility of hybrid work at AB Tasty, with Fridays spent working from home. This setup gives her a day with fewer interruptions, allowing her to focus on larger projects and strategic thinking. The balance helps her maintain both creativity and efficiency in her role.
Looking ahead, there are no limits to Alison’s growth. With her creativity and drive, she is set to continue making a significant impact at AB Tasty!
