We recently took on the project of redesigning the AB Tasty platform – and today we’re excited to introduce AB Tasty PULSAR: a smarter, more powerful and user-friendly platform.
The time had come to make an ‘interface inventory’, to be sure we’re providing the best user experience on the market.
In true AB Tasty fashion, we’ve collected feedback from users like you.
The ‘test and learn’ philosophy is in our blood, and we can’t help ourselves from constantly gathering user feedback and striving to make a better and more customer-centric AB Tasty. To this end, we’ve collected insights, feedback and ideas from our clients and team mates to introduce a new and improved AB Tasty interface.
We’re proud to introduce the latest version of our platform: AB Tasty PULSAR.
As always, at AB Tasty we strive to keep our clients at the center of our universe, and we hope that PULSAR will be the shining star among our ever-growing constellation of clients.
At AB Tasty, we believe in the importance of smart, intuitive UX interfaces. In order to make our new platform easier and more enjoyable to navigate, we’ve instigated several design changes:
- Updated UX design: we’ve streamlined menus, simplified navigation, created a more logical user flow and built a responsive layout on JS React
- Implemented a design system, which ensures consistency throughout AB Tasty PULSAR
- Added more resources accessible at a glance, which makes it easier to find and get started with test and personalization campaigns

The new navigation
As you can see, we’ve rebuilt the navigation from the ground up with a new header navigation bar where you can now easily find:
- The Campaign dashboard (testing and personalization)
- Insights to find new test ideas and avenues for optimization
- A global overview of statistics from your campaigns
- A brand new Lab section where you can access new features in beta mode
Built on a JS React library and with a new, fresh interface, AB Tasty PULSAR is more powerful and more user-friendly.
A new design system to make your experience more consistent
The PULSAR experience is the first step in an effort to offer a more systematic design approach, with clear standards for the UI design. In a follow-up post, we’ll talk more about the new design system. But for now, let’s get into some of the things that’s new:
New test icons
The design system will help you identify and recognize different sections more easily. Icons and buttons are the most interactive components used everywhere in PULSAR, we want to make sure they are all following a logical system, with the same shape and color, to create more harmony in the tool.
The design system will help us bring new features to you – faster
You heard us right! This systematic approach will allow our designers and developers to spend less time focusing on style and more time developing a better user experience. Upgrades will be made easier and we will be able to ship more features, faster.

JS React: a powerful foundation for scale
The UX and UI design aren’t the only changes we made in recent months. In fact, the developer team has been working hard on updating the platform. We’re changing the technology – and mindset – with PULSAR, introducing a platform based on a JS React library. This goes hand in hand with the main objective for PULSAR: to create a more powerful and scalable platform. JS React will help us improve performance, since it debugs easier and loads faster. It’s also more scalable, as we’re preparing for this fall’s feature releases.
Upgrades will be made easier and we will be able to ship more features, faster.
Get ready – we’re entering AB Tasty 3.0 and launching new features such as the Audience builder, new reporting and Labs. The new PULSAR interface is just the beginning..
